AALGIFC began life in 1999 with founding member Sharon Reason setting up a ladies' team from a handful of former Melton Ladies players.
Club membership continues to expand and caters for all ages and abilities from tots to girls, ladies and more recently boys. In addition, our FA qualified coaches, trained in Coaching Disabled Footballers, provide training sessions for our thriving inclusive membership.
Our club coaches organise and run Soccer Schools throughout the summer months and during selected school holidays. The club also helps to organise the Melton Schools League in partnership with the Melton & Belvoir School Sport and Physical Network. The winning team from the league going forward to represent their school at the annual FA Schools Danone Cup.
We have top-of-the-range facilities, quality equipment, and recognition as an England Football Accredited Club.
All of our coaches hold, as a minimum, the England Football EE Playmaker Course in coaching grassroots football.
Child Protection and First Aid officers are always at hand.
All of our staff and volunteers are DBS Criminal Records Checked (CRC).
